Lake Mission Viejo: Lake Mission Viejo is a man made lake built in 1978 dedicated to the exclusive use of the residents of Mission Viejo and their guests. The lake is 125 Acres in area and 70 feet at it’s deepest point. The clean water allows for both safe fish and recreational enjoying. The Mission Viejo Lake Association maintains a fleet of boats that can be rented, such as sail boats, electric powered boats and kayaks. The lake is stocked year round with a variety of fish. and there are two swim beaches, and pic-nic areas..

City Highlights

With 45 parks and counting, every home in Mission Viejo is within a mile of a park. Residents can hike, bike, swim, fish, and golf, all within their city’s borders. Majestic Lake Mission Viejo is a private lake made available to most all residents of Mission Viejo, and provides many recreational opportunities. Contained in an area of slightly more than 16 square miles, the city includes residential, recreational, light industrial and retail areas, as well as a community college, four high schools, three intermediate schools and seventeen elementary schools.
